The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized a workshop about “Accounting and Auditing”
the objective of the workshop, which is part of a training course about accounting and auditing, is to develop the capabilities of trainees in the concept of accounting, assumptions, and accounting principles.
The workshop, which was presented by the lecturer Ali Taha Yassin, included: the concept of accounting, the importance of accounting, branches of accounting, accounting assumptions, accounting principles, and the beneficiaries of accounting.
In the end of the workshop the presenter's recommendation was on the necessity to study accounting and apply the accounting assumptions and principles
