The Psychological Guidance and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra organized a workshop for students of the fourth stage in the college on (the teaching skills necessary for the applied student) in the presence of more than (700) students
The workshop aimed to guide and guide the fourth grade students professionally with the aim of informing them of the importance of the requirements of vocational preparation (educational and psychological materials) in helping them to prepare for the lesson and prepare the educational situation and how to create a positive emotional climate with the students in addition to training them to prepare questions to evaluate the extent to which they achieve the educational goals they planned by choosing the method Teaching appropriate to present the specialized scientific material, each according to its scientific section.
The workshop, which was attended by (Professor Dr. Mortada Abbas in the Department of Arabic Language) (Head of the Application Committee in the College) and (Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Faleh Salem, Teaching in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences).
Dr. Zainab Faleh focused in her lecture on a set of skills and competencies that the teacher has to master, master, and practice before the teaching process.
The lecture also discussed that teaching is a professional activity performed by the teacher through basic and main operations, and the aim of which is to help students to learn and teach well. The knowledge of teaching skills and their application by the student - the applicator, is a necessary factor for building a sound educational edifice, which links theory and practice.
The Chairman of the Application Committee, Professor Dr. Mortada, explained to the students of the fourth stage the ministerial instructions received regarding the electronic application mechanism due to the conditions of the Corona pandemic, as he explained to the students the need to adhere to the ministerial instructions that stipulate the attendance of all students in the electronic class with their supervisor in the application and the scientific and educational preparation for the application.
The workshop recommended that the scientific departments in the college should pay attention to practical education lessons, because one of the objectives of the application in the College of Education in the second semester is to reveal the extent to which students have acquired teaching competencies while they are on the threshold of graduation.
The workshop was attended by the scientific assistant, the administrative assistant, the heads of departments, members of the implementation committee, the liaison members of the Guidance Unit, in addition to the fourth stage students in all departments of the scientific college.
Note that the workshop was managed by (Professor Dr. Batoul Ghaleb Al-Nahi), director of the psychological counseling and career guidance unit, electronically by the programmer (Karar Ali) and on the free conference platform.
