The College of Education for Human Sciences organizes a memorial ceremony for the departure of one of its professors
The Department of Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra organized a memorial ceremony for the departure of Prof. Dr. Fadel Abdul-Zahra Mazal, in the presence of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, who said: “Today we stand to remember one of the statures of the University of Basra, whose life has been devoted to service. For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Hamid Siraj, said, “The ceremony included a remembrance of the positions of the late, his scientific efforts, his moral giving, and the imprint he left in this ancient department. Benefiting from his heritage, especially since the late was known for his encyclopedia and self-denial.
Then the professors of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Guidance took turns lamenting their deceased colleague and their tears preceded their words, as the department head recalled a. Dr.. Mardan's table erased his career and giving in a department that was one of his columns and scientific statures, followed by a speech by the faculty members delivered by a. Dr.. Ayad Ismail Saleh, then a speech by graduate students. The memorial ceremony included a presentation of the biography and science of the deceased documented in a documentary film, and the ceremony concluded by honoring the deceased with a shield of loyalty presented by the President of the University to the family of the deceased, and copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed as a reward for the soul of the deceased.
The memorial ceremony aims to offer condolences to the families of the late, God willing, and to his requests, and to review some of his travels full of knowledge and giving.
