The Department of Internal Medicine at Basrah Medical College, and under the patronage of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ismail Al-Hamdi, organizes a scientific symposium on the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment of hypertension. The symposium included a review of the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment of high blood pressure, its complications, and modern treatment methods according to international recommendations. The symposium showed that measuring blood pressure with modern electronic measuring devices at home as well as consulting clinics is internationally approved and must be taken and followed up periodically to avoid fatal complications of this silent disease.
