Prof. Dr. Dunia Khairallah Khasaf of the CMS has participated in the ifth International Scientific Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development, which was held in Baghdad in cooperation with the Turkish University of Gaziantep on 1-2 June 2021 Prof Dunia has given a presentation of a research entitled: Spatial and temporal distribution of heavy elements in dust falling in the city of Basra / Iraq. The research aims to monitor the concentrations of heavy metals in the falling dust monthly during the study period, which is one year, in some stations representing this region. Stations close to the source of pollution were selected. Those are in Al-Shu’la Area which is related to the Basra Refineries Company. Others that are distributed in different dimensions from the refinery were selected for comparison purposes.
