The Department of Surgery at the University of Basrah - College of Medicine, held a course for first-Aids, for members and employees of the College of Medicine under the supervision of the Dean of the College. The employees were trained on treating simple wounds, changing dressings and giving intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. The assistant prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein emphasized the Importance of this Course for people and these first-aids measures can be used at home, at work, at office or at the street.
