A research team from University of Basrah obtained the first patent regarding confronting the Coronavirus, which is the production of the first several cough samples to examine the presence of the new Coronavirus from infected people. Among the research team is the chancellor of Basrah University, Prof.Dr. Saad Shaheen, the Dean of Al-zahraa college of medicine, Prof.Dr. Mazen Hawaz, and the Head of the Microbiology department at Al-zahraa College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein K. Abdul-Sada.
