The Date Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the role of some strategies used to improve the salt tolerance of the date palm of the Sayer variety.
The seminar presented by Mr. Mohammed Hadi taimeh aims at the positive role of some substances used in improving salt tolerance in most of the studied qualities such as sulfur, salicylic acid, Humic and some minerals .
The panel discussed the mechanisms of the use of these substances, which would improve the salt tolerance and the qualities of the fruits and productivity of the date palm.
