A PhD dissertation at the University of Basrah, College of Education for Human Sciences, Department of Arabic Language discusses ( The Other in Andalusian Prose Letters in the Era of the Taifa and the Almoravids) by (Osama Abdul-Abbas Abdul-Yimma Hmoud).
The dissertation tackled: ( an important aspect of Andalusian official and non-official Prose Letters. The importance of this new prose study lies picturing that era and the nature of coping with it. The selected prose texts represented an artistic and creative aspect of correspondence. The Era of the Taifa and the Almoravids had a great impact on showing the nature of the Andalusian political and social life, and the scope of Arabic Islamic culture experienced by the people of that era).
The study aimed at explicating; the features and types of these letters, the representations of the other and his topical images, and intended the meaning which can’t be seen clearly without the perfect alternative relationship between the two terms of ( I and the Other).
