Analyzing a picture of the spatial distribution of honey bee breeding apiaries and its products according to the administrative units and districts in Basra Governorate and showing the impact of human and natural factors on this activity. In addition to explaining the most important natural, human and life problems, and the most important preventive and remedial measures that are taken to confront those problems.
The thesis includes an introduction and four chapters. The first credit dealt with the geographical distribution of the apiaries and honey bees and their products
The second chapter deals with the natural factors affecting the breeding and production of honey bees. The third chapter deals with the human factors affecting the breeding and production of honey bees. The fourth chapter deals with the natural, human and life problems facing this activity and the most important preventive and remedial measures.
The study found several results, including: The number of apiaries in the study area for the year 2019 reached (179). As for the total number of cells, it reached (3311) cells, while the amount of honey produced was (8211) kg. Honey apiaries were distributed in (7) districts out of (9) in the governorate. The percentage of licensed beekeepers was (48%) of the total beekeepers. This activity was affected by a set of natural and human factors that led to the variation in the spatial distribution of this activity in the study area.
