Summary
Twirl and hemi-metal polarization are essential properties of twirl electronics devices. The electronic and magnetic properties of the CuHg2Ti-type composition of the complete Heussler alloy Zr2VIn at the size and surfaces (111), (001) and (110) were investigated using first principles based on density functional theory. The results showed that the Zr2VIn alloy size achieves the semi-metallic property with an energy gap of 0.3 eV, while the semi-metallic property is destroyed at all surfaces. It is observed that this compound shows 100% polarization at the Fermi level in the upper spindle channel. The study also revealed that the total magnetic moment of Zr2VIn alloy is equal to μB2. The atomic relaxation of the (111), (001), and (110) surfaces of the Zr2VIn complex is discussed. The Zr(2) atom at the (001) surface shows the highest spin polarization of 87.79%, which opens the way for many applications related to the design of giant magnetoresistance.
