The epidemiological curve continues to rise as a result of the increase in the rates of injuries and deaths in light of the exposure of our country and the countries of the world to a fierce and harsh third wave of the Corona pandemic, causing severe pressure on hospitals and Corona treatment centers that witness an overcrowding of sleeping patients and an increase in severe and critical cases, including the youth category, with the increase in the number of deaths. Dangerous and unprecedented.
We have repeated the warning over the past period of the danger of underestimating and ignoring the preventive measures issued by the competent health authorities, as most citizens continued to practice their social activities and hold events and human gatherings such as funeral councils and group banquets without commitment to preventive measures such as wearing a mask, physical distancing and hand sterilization, that experts Public Health and Epidemiology confirm that the new strain of the Covid-19 virus (Delta) moves with great ease and speed in these gatherings, causing major and dangerous infections even among the youth and children, which increases pressure on health institutions and their heroic staff that have been tackling the pandemic since the beginning of the year 2020 until now. We call upon everyone to abandon the methodology of complacency and disregard for preventive measures, as the country is on the cusp of a health and humanitarian disaster, the extent of which only God knows.
The Ministry of Health launches a national appeal to all dear Iraqis to cooperate with it and help its heroic staff in stopping the chain of transmission of the epidemic through the following steps:
1. Wear a mask.
2. Going out only for necessity and committing to physical distancing at work and necessary family gatherings.
3. Stop human gatherings in the current period for any reason.
4. To speed up vaccination at the nearest center or hospital.
The legal and moral responsibility imposes on religious, political, cultural, academic, sports and clan symbols to mobilize efforts with the competent health authorities to save society from the danger of the epidemic, by urging people to adhere to these simple measures that can cut the chain of transmission of infection and control the epidemic.
The ministry also appeals to all channels and media, through its various programs, to show the seriousness of the epidemiological situation and urge people to adhere to these preventive measures and their importance to their lives.
We call upon the security services to support the white army's cadres to implement preventive recommendations in vital facilities with human gatherings and to take deterrent legal measures against violators.
We extend our thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the heroes of the White Army as they spend the days of Eid on the front line against this epidemic to provide health services to patients in Iraqi hospitals.
We also thank all those who support the efforts of the Ministry of Health.
Mercy and forgiveness to the martyrs of the White Army and a speedy recovery to their patients and all the sleeping patients.
May God protect Iraq and its people from all evil.
