A PhD thesis titled Synthesis, Characterization and Some Biochemical Applications of Some New Heterocyclic Compounds Derived from Chalcones was defended at College of Science, Department of Chemistry , for the PhD Candidate Muntazer Muhammad Lieaybi
. The aim of the thesis is synthesis, characterization ofsome new series from
chalcones derevid from vanillin derivative, also new heterocyclic compounds
(pyrimidine and pyrazole) derived from chalcone.
The results of biochemical study indicated that chalcon compound (X5) has
capability as hepatoprotective against hepatotoxicity by CCl4.
