College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held a seminar about Azithromycin as an immunotherapy.
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Azithromycin as an immunotherapy after angina) presented by Dr. Ahmed Hamish .
Through the seminar Dr.Ahmed explained that medical disability after angina is one of the most important diseases that threaten societies where the immune response plays a critical role in the occurrence of heart failure after angina. It has been found recently that inhibition of the immune response may protect the heart from all complications resulting from angina .Furthermore azithromycin may be used to inhibit this response . The results of the discussed study were very supportive to use Azithromycin as a treatment for patients after heart attack in the near future.
