Under circumstances full of sadness, the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah was honored to raise the banner of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, to mark the beginning of the sacred month of Muharram and the season of sorrows began with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

 The President of University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi and his administrative and scientific assistants, attended the flag-raising ceremony, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Abdulameer Abdullah Almusawi, Dean of the College of Nursing at Basrah University, a number of eminent personalities, representatives of the Husseiniya and Abbasid shrines, and a large gathering of university professors and students.

 For his part, Almusawi said that the banner represents the banner of the free and the revolutionaries, and a method that carries lessons and lessons in his records.
 With the need to adhere to the footsteps of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and the principles that she embodied in the painful incident of Tuff.
