
The College of Dentistry University of Basrah has received the Director of the Civil Defense Center, martyrs of Iraq, Colonel Ahmed Sabih Qasim and Commissioner Muhannad Hassan Saud, the person in-charge of the Civil Defense Safety.
The visitation to the College of Dentistry included a follow up on the safety and firefighting requirements that are sponsored by the Civil Defense Directorate in Basrah.
The Colonel urged the continued sterilization of the examinations' classrooms, buildings and the college's corridors, and following up on sterilizing the students during their entry to perform the final in-person examinations emphasizing social distancing, and wearing masks during the examinations, and dealing with the critical conditions such as the high temperature of some of the students and keeping them away from others for the fears of infection.
As the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant. Professor Dr. Fateh Abdulsahib Al-Khakani, assured the providing of all Civil Defense requirements inside the building and in laboratories controlling the entrances and exits of the college, as well as providing everything that the student needs while performing the final in-person examinations for the current academic year.
The Colonel praised the college's defense and safety procedures, with a firm emphasis on the safety procedures in scientific laboratories that deal with materials that are hazardous to health, environment and highly combustible.
And in the end, the Colonel thanked the put-up efforts from the Deanship of the College for providing all safety initiatives and eliminating the risks that might affect the college.
