The College of Nursing at the University of Basra held a scientific lecture on acute poisoning and chronic poisoning, and the lecture was for the instructor (Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa), head of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch. In general, the lecture dealt with poisoning with substances such as (paracetamol, aspirin, and drugs), as well as chronic poisoning, which includes the accumulation of some toxic substances in the body and spread in real life such as lead, mercury, cyanide and carbon monoxide. He also explained the symptoms and signs resulting from exposure to these toxins. And their impact on human health in general and on the brain in particular. This lecture aims to deal quickly with highly toxic substances such as (Paracetamol), use the Global Emergency Aid System (A.B.C.D), and learn the mechanisms for diagnosing and treating toxins. |
