Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about“ State and Public Sector Employees Discipline Law”.for 14year1991 amended.
The objective of the workshop, which is part of the Enrichment project, is to acquaint the participants with the foundations of this law, which builds a road map of rights and duties. It also aims to highlight the
principles stated in the State Employees Discipline Law, the methods used in the penalties prescribed for disciplinary offenses, and the administrative investigation.
The workshop, which is presented by the lecturer the legal advisor Habib Abdul-Zahra Al-Rubaie included topics of the employee’s duties, job prohibition, disciplinary penalties and their effects, and legal guarantees for the employee in the face of the administration’s authority in punishment by determining the authority competent to impose the penalty, investigation, questioning, and formality by imposing punishment, methods of appeal.
The recommendation was on the participation of the university’s employees, including jurists and people’s managers, even if they did not need it for promotion, but rather to increase legal information
