The Department of Ecology at the College of Science organized an online scientific lecture within the summer training courses on the extraction and estimation of residues of some chemical pesticides from different environments.
The lecture given by Assistant Lecturer Shaima Saeed, included the definition of chemical pesticides, methods of their classification, areas of use and their impact on humans and the ecosystem.
The lecture touched on the internationally approved methods for extracting pesticides from soil, water, fruits, vegetables, seeds and living tissues, mentioning the advantages of each method.
