The College of Nursing / University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Police Command, the Training and Professional Development Center, organized a scientific course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (save life) With the participation of researchers and specialists, the course included scientific and practical lectures in the Basra police headquarters Presented by Assistant Professor Dr. (Sajjad Salem Issa) and teacher (Abdul Karim Salman Khudair) and a number of researchers during which they dealt with an overview of the heart and arteries Lungs, respiratory physiology and circulation, causes of cardiac and respiratory arrest, the importance of practicing primary cardiopulmonary resuscitation and its role in saving life And the detailed mechanism of the CPR process and its basic steps and the practice of the CPR process on simulated puppets by the resident staff on the course And the practice of the participants in the session from among the Ministry of Interior cadres, who numbered (30) During the course, educational videos were presented on the practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). As for the most important recommendations that came out of the session, it is to continue holding CPR courses for employees of the Ministry of Interior, and urging the affiliates to participate in these courses And the establishment of courses for the personnel of the rescue and traffic, because they are closer to people and their contact with citizens. |
