The College of Nursing / Basra University organized a scientific symposium on first aid and saving life, with the participation of researchers and specialists. The symposium included scientific and practical lectures in the Central Library Hall in the Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Division at Basra University It was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. (Sajjad Salem Issa), teacher (Abdul Karim Salman Khudair) and a number of researchers During which they dealt with a summary of the concept of first aid, which is to educate the staff of Basra University about the importance of first aid And teach the participants in the course to stop bleeding and deal with wounds and teach the most important steps in dealing with burns and cardiac resuscitation processes CPR was practiced on mock puppets and some of the attendees participated in the CPR training. The researchers recommended to spread health awareness in the field of first aid in general and to treat wounds in particular, and to spread the culture of saving life by introducing the largest possible number of cadres at Basra University. In practical and theoretical courses and their application on saving lives and the necessity of having a first aid pharmacy in all university branches and in colleges' departments and branches. |
