Conclusions: The thesis has come up with the following conclusions: There is a noticeable variation in the acoustic properties among national and international broadcasters .The acoustic properties of male broadcasters vary from those of female broadcasters . The study proves that the variation of the acoustic properties is not limited to the comparison between national and international announcers , rather there are significant differences between the broadcasters of the same group , for example ( between the national broadcasters or the international broadcasters ).
The variation in the acoustic properties among announcers is also due to the type of discourse. That is, the acoustic properties of newscast announcers vary from those of sportscasters’ or the broadcasters who produce social-programme utterances. The study confirms that there are similarities in the acoustic properties of some utterances which are produced by national and international broadcasters.
