In the meeting room of the Global Corner of the Central Library, in cooperation with the College of Law, a panel discussion was held in which Prof. Dr. Sajid Ahmad Abel was hosted. The symposium was moderated by Engineer Waleed Bashir Abdul Wahed, in celebration of the World Day of the Most Violent on the second of October, in which Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian independence movement, was born. the United Nations every year on this day, and the axes of the symposium dealt with some aspects of renunciation of violence as they are among the basic principles on which many divine messages focused and represent As a method in the teachings of Jesus, peace be upon him, and a basic approach in our true religion, as many texts of the Noble Qur’an emphasized it and laid the foundations for the renunciation of violence, the greatest messenger upon him and the God of the best prayer and completed peace in his Sunnah. The seminar was attended by a number of students of the College of Law and a distinguished group of employees of the University of Basra, in which they discussed and exchanged opinions and elaborated by shedding light on this occasion and discussing its most important aspects.
