The College of Dentistry University of Basrah held a periodic scientific conference for the academic year 2021-2022 today, Wednesday, the twentieth of October.
The conference dealt with many aspects, the most important of which is a brief overview about the college, both of the administrative and scientific aspects, the aspects of the scientific departments, recommendations and future plans.
Assistant. Professor Dr. Fateh Al-Khakani, Dean of the College of Dentistry, gave a speech in which he thanked all the staff from academic teachers, employees and workers on their efforts to contribute in building and reconstructing the College scientifically, technically and administratively.
Meanwhile, Lecturer.Dr. Sundus Abdul Wadood, Dean's Assistant in Scientific Affairs, mentioned the policy that is being followed to raise the college's level despite the difficult conditions it suffers from, due to the small size of the building compared to the huge numbers of students.
Assistant. Professor Dr. Rafid Mustafa AlBadr, Dean's Assistant in Administrative Affairs, also spoke about the accomplishments that the College made last year with the available capabilities that the College had and the College keenness to provide all of the necessary requirements for students.
Even more, The heads of the scientific departments had talked about the numbers of the academic teachers, employees and the limited capabilities of the Departments from laboratories, clinics and the existent shortages in all Departments.
Next, Lect. Raed Taha has mentioned everything related to the quality for the past year.
Last but not least, the matter of the Division of Students Affairs had been brought up as Mr. Jawad Neama, spoke about the accomplishments and difficulties that the Division of Students Affairs came across with during last year.
The conference was concluded by asking the responsible authorities to cooperate with the advancement and building of the College of Dentistry University of Basrah, as it deserves a higher position among the colleges of the medical group.
