The Depatment of Chemistry at the College of science organized a seminar about antioxidant and antibacterial properties of some herbal material. This seminar clarify the role of herbs including ginger and mint and their role as antioxidant & antibacterial. The study exhibits strong antioxidant activity of the two herbs due to their content of phenolic compounds. And also shows antibacterial activity against two bacterial strains (+) and (-) to Gram stain (Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli) respectively.
