University of Basrah receives tablets donated by government and private sector companies to be distributed free of charge to needy students

In light of the joint scientific cooperation between the university and public and private sector companies. The University of Basra received more than (500) tablets provided by government and private sector companies in support of students with low incomes. The President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said during a statement to the university’s news center, “Based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. And the accompanying preventive curfew in all governorates of Iraq. And Shaheen indicated that "the university" received from the Basra Oil Company and in cooperation with the Eni Company. The Italian company operating in the oil sector provided (400) tablets and (60) laptops, while Al-Ghadeer Company for Medical Supplies provided (20) laptops, in addition to the two companies, Asiacell Communications and South Gas, providing (30) electronic devices for both. He added. Hammadi, "The university distributed all gifts to students with limited income in order to contribute to raising their abilities and excel in e-learning and to perform final exams with excellence and diligence. At the same time, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the companies that contributed in providing gifts in order to support the students and make the e-learning process at the university successful.
