The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion on pricing mechanisms for Iraqi crude oil exported to international markets.
The panel discussion, in which Prof. Dr. Nabil Jaafar Abdel Reda lectured and was directed by Prof. Dr. Yahya Hammoud Hassan, aims at demonstrating how to determine the price of a barrel of crude oil in global markets.
The panel discussion touched on the history of pricing Iraqi oil, the factors affecting the trends of the global oil market on the one hand, and the factors affecting the pricing of Iraqi oil on the other hand, as well as the mechanisms of allocating and selling Iraqi oil.
