The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a specialized training course on the methods of extracting fats from forage samples.
The course included several topics, introducing the most important methods of extracting fats used, in addition to introducing the technique and mechanism of action of these methods and their efficiency and all the pros and cons that accompany them, as well as introducing the most important organic solvents used in the extraction process and their properties .
The training course recommended the need to follow the most useful methods for rapid measurement of fat content, in proportion to the sample to be tested, as well as the ease of conducting it and having an appropriate cost.
