Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of Basra University, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, and in the presence of the teacher, Dr. Adel Ali Hussein, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Mahfouz Faleh Hassan. From the principle of community participation, the College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized a workshop on measuring vital signs of the College of Open Education, in which Prof. Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa, Head of the Community Health Branch, Dr. Sundus Baqir Daoud, Head of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch, assistant teacher Maher Abdel Amir, assistant teacher Doaa Muhammad Baji and assistant teacher lectured Alia Hassan, researcher Nawras Talib and researcher Hawra Abbas, and the workshop included an explanation of measuring vital signs in general and then talking about them individually and knowing the measurement of temperature and levels of temperature in the body, normal and abnormal, how to measure temperature, types of thermometers, knowing the pulse and definition of the pulse, and about normal values For pulse, places for measuring pulse and respiration, the number of normal breathing cycles for children and adults, and blood pressure. The workshop aimed to teach the target group and the method of measuring vital signs. Dr. Laith Faisal Lazem, Associate Director of the Open Educational College in Basra, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the college's training team for their effective role in the community. Al-Moussawi stressed that these workshops are a continuation of the approach taken by the College of Nursing in the scientific aspect by supplementing the educational process, workshops and courses, and opening new horizons that contribute to raising the scientific and academic level. |
