The Palm Research Center at the University of Basra organized a panel discussion on the factors affecting the quality of date palm fruits.
The seminar in which Dr. Khion Ali Mohsen lectured aimed at knowing the ways and mechanisms that increase the quality of palm fruits.
The seminar dealt with a detailed explanation of the factors that contribute to improving the quality of fruits, such as pollination, fruit thinning, bagging, curving, gagging, light, fertilization, irrigation and soil type.
The episode touched on other important factors such as regulating irrigation and adding animal and chemical fertilizers to improve soil properties and growth, paying attention to lightening and curving service operations, and that the overlap of all factors is very important in improving the quality of fruits.
