A seminar entitled "The impact of hospitals wastewater on the aquatic environment “was held at the College of Science, Department of Ecology.
The presenter Ban Rifat Mohamed demonstrated the most important objectives of classifying liquid flows resulting from sewage water from hospitals and how to dispose of them before they are thrown into the aquatic environment.
The seminar dealt with dividing sewage water into hazardous chemical liquids, pharmaceutical waste, radioactive liquid waste, and heavy metal residues. The wastewater standards were also discussed.
