The Geology Department at College of Science, University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled Mineral Resources and the Refractory Industry, presented by Dr. Sattar Jabbar Al-Khafaji .The symposium aims to introduce the mineral resources, their types, the nature of their formation, their locations and their classifications.
