Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, President of the University of Basra, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Prof. Dr. Mazen Hawaz, Dean of Al-Zahra College of Medicine
The College of Nursing and the College of Medicine at Al-Zahra University of Basra organized an attendance symposium on the occasion of the World Epidemic Control Day, and the seminar was moderated by Professor Dr. Adel Ali Hussein, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs
The symposium included several axes, the most important of which was (The New Liberal Amicron), which was lectured by Prof. Dr. Samira Mohamed Ibrahim, and the second axis dealt with
(Covid_19 panademic hrash experience
and uncertain future)
In which Prof. Dr. Imran Sukkar Habib, Dean of the College of Medical and Health Technologies at Al-Maqal University, lectured
The third axis dealt with (the repercussions of the Corona virus in society), which was lectured by Dr. Raya Habib Abdul-Imam from the College of Medicine at Al-Zahra University, Basra University, and the fourth axis of the symposium dealt with (strengthening the confidence of society in the Covid-19 vaccine), in which Dr. Qusay Abdul-Latif from the Basra Health Department lectured.
The symposium aimed to study some of the solutions and proposals presented by the lecturers in the symposium and work on their implementation
Increasing the awareness of society in all its segments about Covid 19 and not taking scientific information from non-specialized media and social media.
On his part, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, stressed the need to allocate awareness programs about the Corona epidemic
And striving to have a positive role in the prevention of the Corona epidemic, because exaggeration or underestimation of this issue has a negative impact, as well as a balance in dealing with the epidemic, not extremism, and not underestimating the new axes of the virus, and on the other hand, not to increase anxiety and not to stop life, especially education and the economy. Awareness of the people through seminars on how to deal in light of the Corona pandemic.
