In Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Complex, the University of Basrah organized the opening activities of the first annual employment forum under the slogan (Be creative to find a job opportunity) in the presence of representatives of foreign and local companies and public sectors of the state.
University President, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said at the opening ceremony of the first day, "This day provides an opportunity for institutions and companies from foreign oil and gas companies, as well as health and security companies and a group of government service departments, to identify the competencies at the University of Basrah related to students, graduates and their professors and what they provide from productive projects and applicable patents, which today we have presented about 48 of them.”
Shaheen added - Basrah University is proud of its students and graduates, their various specializations, their distinguished levels, and the competencies they possess that increase their ability to compete, innovate, and actively contribute to building the nation.
Dr. Haider Moaz Muhammed, Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering, expressed his optimism about the strong presence of representatives of local and foreign companies operating in Basrah and public sector companies, and said, "Our college's participation today is represented in the marketing of projects by the participating companies in the forum, as they are economically feasible projects related to the manufacture of devices within the college by students and instructors, the most important of which is a device for pulmonary resuscitation, devices for examining and evaluating damage in concrete and other electrical devices.
