A seminar entitled The use of some organic polymers in the adsorption of some heavy metals in polluted environment hold at College of Science, Department of Ecology, which presented by MSc. Student Fatima Hisham Hussain. The aims of study to prepare a new chelating resin from Schiff base and use it to remove copper, cadmium and lead ions.
The study dealt with the factors affecting the adsorption process, including determining the optimum concentration of the elements, pH and time and recovering the elements from the resins, as well as the application of the resins to the Hamdan sewage treatment plant.
