The lecturers in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra, Dr. Dunya Ali Hussain and Dr. Maitham Abdullah Ghaley , participated in the Second International Conference on Environment and Marine Sciences, which was held at the College of Science.
The participation included a lecture entitled Species composition of the plankton and epiphytic diatoms communities in the East Hammar marshes southern Iraq.
The lecture aimed to identify the qualitative composition and relative abundance of planktonic and epiphytic diatoms attached to aquatic plants in east Hammar marsh and the impact of environmental changes on their composition.
