The College of Dentistry University of Basrah and the Continuous Education Unit held a scientific lecture under the title "Preventive Measures and Oral Health during Dental Implantation" delivered by Assistant Lecturer. Dr. Sarah Wadeea Hashim.
The lecture added that controlling the Plaque is critical to maintain the dental implants as if they were normal teeth, as the patients are to be made aware of their roles and responsibilities in preserving their dental implants.
The lecture aims to take good care of oral hygiene before, during and after dental implants to ensure the success and health of the implant and the patient must maintain daily biofilm removal and maintain regular professional care.
At the end of the lecture, the lecturer pointed out that the patients who have undergone successful implant treatment should receive individualized, regular, and continuous supportive care for the tissues surrounding the implant.
