The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on separation methods in analytical chemistry.
The lecture aims to identify the methods of separation in analytical chemistry and the bases of its classification and types, and to explain the basis of the work of each of them and their applications.
The lecture included clarification of the importance of large separation methods for their ability to remove impurities and interferences, which affect the completion of quantitative and qualitative analysis of analytical items.
The lecture dealt with the working mechanism of these methods by converting a single-phase system into a two-phase system in which the class concerned with the analysis resides in one of them, while the overlappings reside in the other phase.
