The Central Library at the University of Basrah organized the annual comprehensive book fair in cooperation with Dar Al-Fayhaa for Printing and Publishing and the Basrah Heritage Center of the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs at Imam Al-Abbas Holy Shrine and the Scientific Library in Basrah.
On the purpose of opening the exhibition, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Tawfiq Douai Al-Hajjaj said, “The exhibition provides an opportunity for readers, postgraduate and undergraduate students and researchers at the university to view the latest sources and scientific research in the fields of science, arts, literature and culture in general, as well as to acquire rare and recently translated books, as the book still occupies an important part in the life and development of humanity.
