The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, continued the steps of completion of the specialized educational university hospital in the governorate, which has reached advanced levels that exceeded 57%.
Shaheen stated that the general structure of the building has been completed with a height of (70) meters, with a helipad for medical emergency helicopters according to the latest international standards. Thus, the highest building in Basrah Governorate and the hospital is the largest, with (446) beds.
