A master's thesis at the University of Basra examines the practices of violence against women in contemporary Arab formation

The thesis discussed studying the manifestations of violence in the plastic arts in general and identifying the artworks that embodied the practices of violence against women intellectually and artistically throughout the ages.
The thesis aims to explain the results and reasons that some of them led to these practices, including the prevailing tribal customs that increased the oppression and oppression of women, and that the plastic art came as part of a common means against the audio-visual media and showed the continuing practices of violence and oppression of women
The thesis concluded about the diversity of artistic achievements on the subject of practicing violence against women from drawing, pottery, sculpture and other arts to various cases of violence established by the circumstances surrounding the human being and affecting some individuals, which generates cases of violence against women.
