The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, held a training course on teaching the basics of Handmade.
The course, which was moderated by the assistant teacher Hadeel Aiad and presented by the assistant teacher Nawras Hameed Majeed, included an overview of the definition of handmade and its types and how to make things from wool and to form it in the form of bags, baskets and rugs for daily use and for decoration. A group of female instructors and employees participated in the symposium.
The course aims to teach the mechanics of the stages of creating things from the formation of the stitch to the final stage of work. The Handmade course lasted for a week and the participants praised the establishment of these courses and suggested establishing other handicraft courses during the current year.
