The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science organized, within a series of weekly lectures, a scientific lecture entitled Applying Safety Measures and Rules to Minimize Risk in Chemical Labs, delivered by Dr. Dr. Salim Ismail Khaleel. The lecturer aimed to learn the main goal of this presentation is to train and increase awareness of BSC and MSC student on how to apply safety measures to mitigate risks that may occurs in chemical labs The presentation explain the initial concepts of security and chemical safety terms and the correlation between them, and to explain the important safety steps that needs to be followed while working in chemical laboratories with a simplified explanation of the practices and work required in addition to preparing for emergencies and following the necessary methods to reduce human risks and the safety of equipment and work environment
