A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basra, examined signs of protest in contemporary Iraqi painting from 1921-2003
The message presented by the researcher Ali Sajit Hadi Al-Ghazi included the subject of protest signs in Iraqi painting, as they express special concepts generated by these signs and signs, which stir up the feelings of sense in the human being, thus causing a dialogue between the senses and the brain in an emotion that reflects the aesthetic of that sign.
The thesis discussed the concept of the sign, which is an art, as well as the concept of protest and visual protest throughout history and the deliberative dimension of the protest visual sign.
The message aims to convey a message of what the Iraqi artist presented through his artworks and creative experiences in different and expressive images on the theme of the protest.
The thesis concluded that the topics of the mock protest embody a remarkable interaction with the recipient by raising the national spirit, and the protest sign has a great contribution to the effectiveness of the revolutions and uprisings in Iraq
