The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on modern methods of feed industry and the development of buffalo projects in Iraq. The workshop aimed to introduce modern methods of manufacturing feed for buffaloes in the southern governorates of Iraq. The workshop, which was attended by Prof. Dr. El-Shazly El-Kioli from the Republic of Tunisia and the animal production official in the FAO, included a summary and presentation of the work carried out by the organization in Iraq through the provision and manufacture of feed, especially feed for buffaloes in the southern regions, due to the high prices of feed for breeders. The workshop, which was attended by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, recommended joint cooperation between the College of Agriculture at Basra University and the FAO.
