A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussed (Carrier Sensing Multiple Access Algorithm to improve data transmission and power in ad hoc wireless networks)
The thesis submitted by the student, *Saja Muhammad Kadhem Jawad*, dealt with a proposal for algorithms.. The first proposed algorithm is achieved by solving the Primal optimization problem which is non-convex. The obstacle of the difficulty of solving this issue is overcome by using the optimization method alternating.
The second proposed algorithm is produced by solving the "Dual optimization problem" which is convex. Similar to the first algorithm, it is provided with few stacked packets in the nodes and also enables the nodes to reduce power consumption.
The aim of the thesis is to develop a carrier-sensing multi-access adaptive algorithm in dedicated wireless networks built in the form of "Conflict graph CG".
The thesis concluded that the proposed algorithm is superior to its counterparts in terms of transmission rate, queue length, and energy savings.
