The training and arbitration course for handball, which was held by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education, the Department of Sports and School Activities, was concluded.
The course, which lasted for three days, was attended by more than fifty-five teachers of physical education from the Directorate of Education in addition to postgraduate students in the college.
Where a group of faculty members lectured on various subjects, including training, sports medicine and the rules of arbitration for the game in its theoretical and practical aspects to refine and develop the qualifications of the participants in this game.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Kareem said, "The college possesses scientific and knowledge storage sufficient for the development of sports in Iraq. For this reason, we cooperated with the Directorate of Education and implemented this project, which consisted of a series of training courses for teachers of physical education in schools, who in turn apply them to our students."
