The College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra - Continuing Education Unit organized a workshop on the skill of time management and self-motivation.
The workshop aimed to educate students about the importance of organizing time and how it contributes to their academic success and creating a balance between their academic and social tasks, as well as its contribution to finding time for hobbies and self-development, and how to motivate oneself by pushing the individual towards achieving his goals and objectives in the shortest time and least effort.
The workshop that I attended included (Professor Dr. Batoul Ghaleb Al-Nahi), the teaching staff in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences
(The most important factors that contribute to saving time, and she explained that there are time wasters such as preoccupation with entertainment, laziness and leaving tasks unaccomplished, and the large number of phone calls, and other things that contribute to the theft and wasting of time without investing it effectively, explaining the most important important mechanisms in organizing time and investing Leisure time, and I discussed in the lecture the importance of organizing time in motivating oneself internally as one of the components of self-motivation, and how the individual can motivate himself and create smart goals to motivate them. The future desired by those who attained it, rewarding oneself upon success in achieving the goal, enhancing self-confidence, optimism and feeling satisfied with the blessings that God Almighty bestowed upon him, and investing the capabilities and resources available for that and others).
The workshop recommended to students - for the purpose of achieving success - the need to maintain self-motivation, continue to learn and acquire knowledge, develop a mentality of positive thinking, optimism and flexibility, and avoid procrastination.
