A master's thesis at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah examined the effectiveness of the written text in contemporary Arab formation. Sculpture, ceramics and architecture.
The thesis discussed the biblical text between the origin, meaning and concept through a historical overview of the origin of writing, the meaning and significance of the biblical text and the Arabic letter and the stages of its development since the beginnings of ancient man.
The thesis aims to shed light on artists and letters and reveal the ways and methods through which the plastic artist was able to draw inspiration from the written text in his plastic works at the level of Arab countries
The thesis was concluded from the ability of the contemporary Arab plastic artist to employ the written text in several forms that varied between his use of poetic verses, Quranic verses, noble prophetic hadiths and aphorisms, and this contributed to the diversity of artworks within the pictorial surface of contemporary Arab plastic work.
