A doctoral thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, examined the characteristics of the communicative act in contemporary interactive art.
The thesis discussed the topic of interactive art, which was one of the conditions for the completion of its meanings, the participation of the recipient and the exchange of ideas with the performer to form an integrated communicative circle based on the procedural communicative activity directed from the artist producer and ending with the recipient
The thesis aims to read the cognitive aspect of a study that attracts the overlap of philosophical and intellectual concepts, as well as modern technologies within the contemporary artistic work.
The thesis concluded that communication is a human activity based on an understanding of human interactions, which is achieved through the communicative act as it is the mental and physical procedural process for that activity with its functions and cognitive concepts.
